My Wellness Reflection:
  1. Based on my reflections, and on a scale of 1 to 10 (ten being optimal wellbeing), where do I rate my
  A-physical wellbeing= 7
, B-spiritual well-being= 8
  C-psychological well-being= 5
I rate myself the scores listed due to needs for personal growth in each area. Physically I need to lose 20 pounds and be rid of this winter weight that I had put on last year.I have lost 14 pounds and I am getting closer to my goal of optimal wellness Physically. I hike a lot on the weekends, and walk a lot during the weeks. My activity level is high.
Spiritually, I am reaching a high for this area, yet, in all, I feel that I need to take a mental break from society, and go on a spiritual journey, backpacking the Hawaiian Islands. Since the loss of my mother, and best friend, and also my brother, I have felt a huge loss that I am trying to regain in my life. I score an 8 due to my awareness and growth since my loss. To be a 10, I believe that this would be my score after I return from an upcoming spiritual journey for myself.
Psychologically, I score a 5. I am losing control of responsibilities since my loss of family, and since my kids have all reached the age of adulthood. Some people call this empty nest syndrome. I call it, a "Loss of self worth". I struggle everyday, lately more, to find reasons to keep by feet above water. With so much loss, I often feel my world is falling apart around me. Loss of job, home, car, financial issues, and now on the fence of giving up on my career choice. On this journey that I speak of, I feel that spiritually and psychologically, I would increase my score in both areas.
2. What activities or exercise can you implement in your life to assist in moving toward each goal?
Continuing my hiking activities will help in moving towards my goal. Living off of the land, nature walks, educating myself with many more natural resources and discovering self improvement will assist me towards optimal health.
3. Complete the relaxation exercise The Crime of the Century. To hear this exercise, click here. Describe your experience.
I found this exercise to be relaxing. Meditation, deep breathing, focusing on wellness are great values. However, to try and see color with each explanation of why I would see that particular color for each body region was frustrating to me. I see other colors. Aura is what I see, and for myself the colors are dark, and I also see indigo blues and greens. This tells me more that I need a wellness journey for my own peace.

Please post on here and tell me your experience with the video. I would love to learn about your experience and your goals to whole body wellness in mind, spirit and body.
